100526 Wednesday Partner WOD: Handstands and Pullups

100526 Wednesday Partner WOD: With a 5 min running clock run 400m as a team, perform max Hand Stand Pushups with the remaining time (sub is strict press). With the next 5 min  run 400m as a team, perform max pullups(must share same pullup bar). Run as a team, only one person working at a time on the reps. Perform for six intervals non-stop, aka 6×5:00 rounds, aka 30 minutes non-stop. Record Total Team HSPU and total Team pullups.

    Team Hazen/Marty/Stuart

    Pullups – 66+59+56=181
    Combo – 50+50+46=146

    Hazen – HS pushups w/ plate & abmat
    Marty – dumbell strict press
    Stuart – HS pushups rx

    Recalling from memory…so may be a little off…

    Very fun – at least for 4 of the 6 rounds. Then very punishing.

    Team Chad/MarkD had 141 HSPU and 182 or so pullups.

    Chad was a pullup machine. 27 in a row out of the gate. Thought he would take the entire turn. I got a pullup PR of 20 consecutive and I am very happy. 99 HSPU was one short of my jackass boasting. But I put it out there, and tried to back it up. Almost.
