The kids have been getting after it lately. I am very proud of them! I know this post is very much outdated but lets get back up to speed!
Lately, we have been working a ton of body weight movements. The overarching point we are working on is that no matter how strong you are in the gym, there are no barbells on the field, they need to be able to move their bodies in space efficiently and effectively. Class size is getting big, we are adding more and more kids every week, it is great to see! Last night was the biggest class with about 12 kids working hard! Last night we transferred from the body weight focus back to some barbells!
WOD A: Back Squat, 2 reps EMOM for 8 mins. Working to a heavy 2 rep.
WOD B: 18 mins: 10 DL/ 5 bar facing burpee’s and every 6 mins running a 200m run. Start with a 200M sprint.
