When Did you Begin Training at CFOT?
What goals have you slayed so far?
Muscle ups. For a year and a half I could not do them, and now, it is one of my favorite. Getting 10 in a row or doing 30 in 5 minutes, is a goal. Thanks Melissa!
Similarly pullups. I had the hardest time stringing them together. But I just hit 30, on my way to 40+.
Good coaching, patience and hard work can get you to any goal.
What are your Training Goals for 2011?
Double unders are gonna be my bitch in 2011.
What is your prior fitness background?
I was the worst high school wrestler in history. 105 pounds of skin & bones. Broke my elbow in a match and made the ref puke. But that introduces me to physical therapy and weights 30 years ago. Got fat, happy and lazy in my 30s and was lucky to find CFOT to lose almost 30 pounds before I turned 40. Thank God for Jerry Hill.
Least Favorite WOD?
“The Seven” made me cry a little, and I had to scale. Very humbling.
Favorite CFOT moments you’d like to share?
Every day in the Lunch Bunch with Melissa coaching is a good day. Bring my coworker and bro Chad into the mix is even better. Jerry working out with us is great, but he usually is done before we get a chance to witness it.
Being on a CFOT team at the Mid Atlantic Hopper was an honor. My first competition, and I feel like I let the team down. So that keeps pushing me to work on my skills, strength and stamina.
Doing well in the Fran Challenge helped me realize how far I have come. First time I noticed that people thought I was ok at this.
But of all things: Crossfit Kids makes me proudest. The FGB kids workout was a special moment. Watching StellaD learn about fitness, have fun and really put out a huge efforts was amazing.
Any advice for our new members?
Ask questions. The community is amazing and has a ton to share.

What would you name a WoD and what would it be?
Double unders, muscle ups and 400m runs with a weight vest and big sunglasses.
