What got you into Crossfit?
I was in a fitness rut. I had been doing endurance running and weightlifting by myself at globo-gyms, yet felt out of shape and unmotivated. I had swam competitively in college and was missing the team atmosphere and camaraderie. My best friend had found immediate success in CrossFit and had been nagging me about trying it, I finally took the leap and haven’t looked back.
What got you into coaching?
I had experience coaching swimmers (summer league teams and summer camps) and have always felt comfortable teaching things that I believe in. It felt natural for me to transition from CrossFit participant to coach, though I am still starting out and learning how to better help others.
What is the most rewarding part of coaching so far?
When something finally clicks with someone in a movement or lift and you see the instant look of achievement on their face – that’s the best. To see people make improvements, both small and large, is really gratifying.
