Great week for the CFOT SportsPerformance Team! Summer is upon us, it’s time to have some fun and get ready for the Fall sports season!!
- Monday we worked some heavy overhead movements. We went 2 Jerks (from the racks) every min on the minute starting at 70% of their 1 rep max for 10 mins. Then we worked some interval training! Intervals, I believe, are one of the best tools for sports training. In most sports you work hard for a period time and then rest (timeouts, halftimes, after plays); so interval training relates very well to that!
- Wednesday we worked heavy BS x 4 in 12mins. Rarely do you work one rep max efforts in a game, unless lifting is your sport! You need to be able to have solid muscle endurance to work at 100% a full game! To cap off the week we worked a partner chipper! 50,40,30,20,10,10,20,30,40,50 of burpees, box jumps, db thrusters, KB high pull, DB push press! Just moving and having some competitive fun to end the week!
