Looking back at my personal fitness journey, maybe I was destined to love CrossFit.  My interests and experiences have been all over the map.  I played tennis growing up, coxed for several years in college, learned to box and had one amateur fight, ran and ruck marched many miles on the roads of Fort Campbell, did several sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, ran several marathons and one ultramarathon, tried barre, pilates, yoga… the list goes on.  After suffering a debilitating knee injury, I could no longer run long distances.  I lost my fitness focus yet continued my old eating habits – soon I had gained 30 pounds and weighed almost as much as my husband.  After seeing some of the CrossFit Games footage on TV, I convinced my husband to start Foundations with me at CFOT, and the rest is history.  I started Crossfit in May 2016 and have never looked back.  Since then, I’ve lost all that weight, gained muscle mass, vastly improved my diet/nutrition plan, and fell into the best community at CFOT.  As I approach 40, I am stronger, faster, fitter, and motivated to continue competing in CrossFit, Strongman, and Powerlifting.  Coaching is a way I can give back to the box and help others progress; it also helps me improve myself as a person and an athlete.
